Area: South

Interpretive Categories: fill

Data Category Information: Location: feature; Description: niche; Deposition: homogeneous

Description: fill of plastered recess f. 1706 FAST TRACK

Discussion: This unit consists of the fill of the plastered recess f.1706 set into the east wall of space 231 (wall f.259) The matrix is a very compact hard reddish brown clean clay.

It is likely that this unit was inserted for constructional purposes, either because wall 259 became unstable or when the subsequent level 6 building was constructed on top of space 112/space 231.

The fill was slightly overdug in the southern part of the feature, as the difintion was initially not entirely clear in that area.
