Unit description: Sample 6 >4 mm flotation 100% sorted, recorded completely; represents layer immediately on surface of platform. Tiny unit consisting of tiny pieces of sheep-size animals, plus one fish bone. Some burning, variable weathering; much looks slightly rolled and trampled. Looks like clean floor. Last number = 6 LY 2001 Flotation sample #1 was completely recorded and consisted of small fragments of bone; c.10% had been charred and there was a high proportion of digested bone. A number of burnt bones came from a large mammal skull but the only fragments identifiable to species belonged to caprines. One fragment of fish jaw was also present in the sample Last number = 38 Note acw 2001: double number occurred. From 2001 data F1-F6 renumbered F39-F44 Last number = 45
