Discussion: Genral building infill Bone groups X2 and X7 are probably part of the same group. The burnt bones within this group were next to the burnt timber suggesting that the bones were already present when the burning occured. This deposit is probably Neolthic fill occuring after the abandonment of the building and some of the x finds were found directlyabove the underlying floorsmay have been deliberatly placed there beforea fire charredthe timbers that remained in the SW portion of space 228. This fire resultde in the patchy deposits of ash within the fill but was not of sufficient temperature to calcine the wood only charr it. |
