Discussion: RET This is an ashy grey layer that was noticed under the roof material.
AMV. A small portion (10 liters) of this ashy grey layer was removed from a section up against the west side of Feature 155, the White Monster. This unit was below 2238 and above 2255, both of which are considered mainly roof deposits.

19/8/98 Extends all the way to E wall. Actually seems to lie immediately under 2238 and 3508.

Unit description: Small unit containing a fairly high frequency of burnt bone (30%). The temperature range of the heating appears was great enough to carbonise the bone without any calcination. The 4mm flotation samples 2, 3, 4 and 5 did not consist of burnt bone. Last number = 33
