Prior to the introduction of the Hodder phases Sp.322 of B.55 had been allocated to Mellaart Level VI-III very crudely based on comparison of the material assemblage
Mellaart levels of buildings/spaces NOT excavated in the 1960s have been removed to allow an independent assessment on phasing.

Western space of building 55, seperated from space 256 by wall F.2046. The division between space 256 and 322 is also indicated by a N-S scar in the southern part of the building which the floors lip up against.
