The current Hodder phasing for B.1 has been determined on its horizontal location within the 4040 Area structures only and therefore prefixed with ?. The phase has been introduced to allow some cross query and can change according to analyses results.
Prior to the introduction of the Hodder phases B.1 had been allocated to Mellaart Level VI VII based on the material assemblage and in comparison to B.3 and B.5
but
Mellaart levels of buildings/spaces NOT excavated in the 1960s have been removed to allow an independent assessment on phasing.
