Lying at the surface of the mound, Sp.90 of B.52 represents a mid phase of the B.52 sequence. Excavated to the latest phase of occupation with NFE (not further excavated).
Prior to the introduction of the Hodder phases Sp.90 of B.52 had been allocated to Mellaart Level VI - V very crudely based on comparison of the material assemblage
Mellaart levels of buildings/spaces NOT excavated in the 1960s have been removed to allow an independent assessment on phasing.

External area within which after the 05 excavation we identified probably 3 phases of constructionç Features 2142, 2143, 2144 and potentially 2141 belong to the earliest building exposed, which was truncaed specialy in its southern part. This building could have been contemporary with F. 2140 but is possible that 2140 is actualy the second phase in the area. F. 2139 is clearely part of a construction, maybe a retaining wall, which is later than both 2140 and the building with all the other fetures. We believe it is a retaining wall because, despite being pastered on both sides, it has the other fetures next to it at the same level.
