Unit description: This is a smallish unit with moderate fragmentation. It looks as though it may be catching more than one deposit. There are some relatively fresh bits that look fairly primary, notably a good chunk of sheep/goat skull. Then there are quite a few worn, generally more fragmented bits that look redeposited, like fill or construction material. I would guess that the skull, which does not include the horn core, is probably not placed, but rather indicates rapid burial and relatively primary deposition; other fresh-looking items are nothing spectacular. Some burning among both fresh and worn groups. A little bit of digestion. A bit of burnt bird bone is probably from the fresher component. Sample 1 >4mm flotation 100% sorted, recorded completely. This is a moderate size sample. It mostly seems to contain the more worn portion of the unit. Mostly sheep-size scrap with a little large mammal, and a couple of sheep/goat diagnostics. Also what is pretty surely a very large bird bone. Some burning, more digestion than the dry-sieved. This looks like dirty fill; some piece up to 3-4 cm. Last number = 87
