Unit 8385

Category: layer    dug in 2002

Area: Bach

Interpretive Categories: burial fill

Data Category Information: none

Dimensions: 80 cm x 88 cm

Discussion: 8385 was a fill that covered both skeletons 8409 and 8410. Although thse two burials were separate events, thre was no distinction of the different fills.
As a result of removing most of the bones of 8409, the next layer will be treated as a different layer. Nonetheless there are a few bones of 8409 left in the ground as a result of them being under the cut.
The belt buckles are found on top of the fill. They are most ptobably related to the latest burial, which is 8410 (the infill was soft, moist, mixed with lots of mateials such as charcoal, plaster fragments, bricks, animal bones, etc.) but it is difficult to be sure.
