Funding and the Turkish Friends
The Çatalhöyük research is funded by the European Commission, the British Academy, the British Institute of Archaeology at Ankara, the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, and the National Geographic Society, and also by our sponsors, Visa, Merko, Glaxo Wellcome, British Airways and Shell.
The Istanbul Friends of Catalhoyuk (President Resit Ergener) have raised funds for a shelter on the site and have plans for a new campaign for a second shelter and visitor centre/museum.
